QQQ trails a nearly flat SPY amid Iran tariffs and competing AI buildouts

QQQ opened 0.66% lower and finished down 0.20%. SPY opened down 0.50% and ended nearly flat with a 0.03% decline, leaving SPY ahead by 0.17 percentage points. Trump announced an immediate 25% U.S. tariff on countries doing business with Iran, while the administration was reported to be nearing a Taiwan trade deal that would lower tariffs and bring additional TSMC manufacturing to the United States.
