SPY recovered from a 0.11% opening decline to finish 0.33% higher, while QQQ moved from a 0.07% opening loss to a 0.22% gain. SPY led by 0.11 percentage points. Microsoft and OpenAI made model intellectual-property licensing non-exclusive and ended Microsoft’s revenue-share payments. Google also signed a confidential AI-use agreement with the Pentagon.
Iran said the U.S. requested talks, while Washington rejected Tehran’s Hormuz proposal. A later U.S. official said Trump disliked Iran’s latest proposal and wanted the nuclear issue prioritized.
U.S. equity ETFs including SPY, VOO and IVV drew $100 billion since the late-March low, with single-day inflows reaching a record $7.5 billion.
