QQQ drops 2.10%, trailing SPY as tariff and tech risks build

QQQ fell 2.10% and SPY lost 1.36%, leaving QQQ behind by 0.74 percentage points after opening 0.24% and 0.05% lower. February durable goods orders rose 0.9% against a 1.1% decline expected, while core orders rose 0.7% versus 0.2% expected. Trade and technology risk stayed prominent as the U.S. added more than 50 Chinese organizations to an export restriction list, Trump announced tariffs of up to 25% on imported autos, and Microsoft was reported to have abandoned 2-gigawatt data-center projects in the U.S. and Europe. Musalem said inflation could stall above 2% and policy should remain patient.
