Tech strength reverses a weak open while energy policy stays in focus

QQQ and SPY opened 0.92% and 0.89% below their previous closes, then reversed higher. They ended regular trading up 1.33% and 0.88%. An after-hours pullback left final gains of 0.89% and 0.44%, with QQQ ahead by 0.45 percentage points. The G7 said it was ready to support energy supply, while later U.S. statements covered the Iran timetable, Hormuz, oil-sanctions waivers and naval escorts.
