QQQ rises 2.71% amid ceasefire relief, fresh Iran strains and Fed crosscurrents

QQQ opened 3.41% higher and finished up 2.71%. SPY opened up 2.60% and ended 2.35% higher, leaving QQQ ahead by 0.36 percentage points. Conditional plans to reopen the Strait of Hormuz supported the relief backdrop, while reports that the strait remained closed, a narrower ceasefire scope and new tariff threats kept geopolitical and energy-route risk active. The Fed minutes added a two-sided rate-policy signal. Most selected headlines were followed by measured moves of less than 0.10% over the next 15 minutes.
