QQQ edges ahead in a roughly 2% rebound amid macro and trade updates

QQQ opened 0.77% above the previous close and ended overnight trading 2.10% higher. SPY opened 0.59% higher and finished up 1.92%, leaving QQQ ahead by 0.18 percentage points. February Michigan consumer sentiment was 57.3 versus a 55.0 estimate. Fed officials Mary Daly and Philip Jefferson discussed risks on both sides of the mandate, labor-market resilience, and tariff-related inflation that they expected to ease. The White House also announced U.S.-India trade terms covering ICT import licensing and intended purchases of $500 billion in U.S. energy products and other goods. Both ETFs advanced through the main session, added modestly after the close, and were nearly steady overnight.
