QQQ rose 1.04% and SPY gained 0.49%, leaving QQQ 0.55 percentage points ahead after opening gains of 0.94% and 0.33%. Both added during the regular session before QQQ gave back 0.35 percentage points and SPY 0.17 points after hours. Nvidia climbed 7.4% before the open on strong guidance, and Marvell later issued third-quarter ranges around or above estimates. Initial claims were 203,000 against 208,000 expected while Hammack said rates were not restrictive enough. Overnight reports said Persian Gulf oil exports had recovered to about two-thirds of prewar levels and Moody's warned AI spending could weaken cloud providers' credit metrics.
